The cinema does give a diverse range of films and events shown, but there seems to be more special events than actual films.

I believe that the impact of Digital Screen Network and Digital Distribution has been a rather significant  to independent film companies and special events as it has given them the chance to be shown to a wider audience this could also mean that people would look into them more and watch more of there stuff. It could be having a negative effect of the mainstream films though, as there is now a wider variety of films being shown people may stop watching mainstream films and look more into special events and independent films.
